Two weeks of rest have served to recover most of the injured players, now the pitch will provide more guidance. The 3:00 PM Cagliari-Bologna match will be a good test for Fabio Pisacane's team, who made their second international break with excellent results and improved standings despite a long series of sidelines (first and foremost Andrea Belotti, who will be out for another six months). Gennaro Borrelli made his breakthrough in Udine, and this afternoon his other attacking partner Sebastiano Esposito will try to do the same, looking for his first Serie A goal. Michael Folorunsho will complete the attacking trio.
The question of Yerry Mina's return to defense remains. The Colombian defender has been called up to the squad, and Pisacane said at a press conference on Friday that if there are no setbacks, he'll be in the game . Whether he'll start for Cagliari vs. Bologna remains to be seen: more likely than not, he'll be back in the starting lineup with Sebastiano Luperto (who sat out the Udine match due to his inability to perform). Adam Obert and Semih Kılıçsoy returned from international duty with goals, Marco Palestra with an assist, and Zito Luvumbo has been playing a full game after his injury. The only player named in the squad who didn't play is Riyad Idrissi, who nevertheless signed a contract extension during the international break. Former Charalampos players Lykogiannis and Nadir Zortea will start on the flanks.
