"21,000 Wagner soldiers were killed by Ukrainian forces, and over 80,000 were injured." This is the assessment provided by the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky during an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Mundo.

«Wagner - he explained - has two categories: professional mercenaries and those mobilized from prisons, their cannon fodder. Our troops killed 21,000 and wounded 80,000. The good news is that we have destroyed the most motivated part of the Russian forces."

But new scenarios are opening up on the conflict with Moscow according to the Washington Post which, quoting some sources, writes that CIA director William Burns made a secret trip to Ukraine in early June, during which it was revealed to him by Kiev officials a strategy to retake the territories occupied by Russia and open ceasefire talks with Moscow by the end of the year.

The trip would have taken place before the failed Wagner mutiny.
