President Xi Jinping "furious" with Canadian premier Justin Trudeau, with a question and answer, which took place on the sidelines of the G20 in Bali, Indonesia, and captured in a video, which has become a real diplomatic case.

What triggered the wrath of the Chinese leader was some leaked news about his interview with the number one in the Canadian government.

“Everything we discussed was leaked to the newspapers. It's not appropriate . This is not how the conversation was conducted,” said Xi, visibly annoyed based on the images filmed by the pool TV that followed the summit.

For his part, Trudeau replied that «in Canada we believe in a free, open and frank dialogue that we will continue to have. I will continue to try to work constructively, but there will be things we disagree on."

"Let's create the conditions first," Xi retorted, before greeting his interlocutor with a tight smile and a nervous handshake.

After the explosion of the case, the spokeswoman for the Beijing Foreign Ministry, however, made it known that President Xi Jinping " did not want to criticize" the Canadian premier.

"I don't think the story should be interpreted as Xi's criticism or reproach to anyone," the spokeswoman added. “The video contained a short conversation. It's normal and I don't think it should be interpreted in a particular way."
