Taylor Parker , the 29-year-old native of Texas who had killed a friend to remove the fetus that the woman was carrying, was sentenced to death.

Capital punishment was handed down in New Boston court.

The story dates back to October 9 two years ago. Parker had told everyone - boyfriend, family and various relatives - that she was pregnant and publicly displayed a fake silicone belly . In reality , she could not have children following a hysterectomy.

On the day of the crime, she had gone to the home of Reagan Simmons-Hancock , a 21-year-old woman who was expecting a baby and was 35 weeks pregnant. After stabbing her with over 100 blows , she took the fetus and fled by car. Shortly thereafter the police had stopped her for speeding and found her with the baby who still had the umbilical cord. The situation was not immediately clear and the 29-year-old was urgently taken to the hospital, once the dramatic truth emerged. The baby was now dead .
