According to the Downdetector website, which monitors interruptions and disservices, tens of thousands of users in different areas of the country experienced very serious connection problems in the early hours of the morning.
«Users say that the SOS message is displayed on their phones, preventing them from making calls or accessing services . The cause is unclear,” explains the Washington Post.
Even the 911 emergency service (equivalent to our 112) «is interrupted in some areas, with officials advising the use of a landline, social media or a mobile phone with a different operator in case of emergency», adds the same WP.
Problems not only with calls, but also with sending text messages and accessing the internet. Affected - from what we learn - are all the main companies, from AT&T to Verizon, committed to assuring customers that the service, where down, will soon be restored.
