Pope Francis and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a telephone conversation. The Ukrainian embassy to the Holy See reports this.

The president, it is explained, "thanked the Pontiff for the spiritual support of the Ukrainian people". They also spoke of «joint work on the Formula for Peace».

Additional missiles and air defense components, anti-tank weapons, ammunition, mine clearance and other equipment will cover Ukraine's most urgent needs", and underlined on X that "the US leadership in the coalition of more than 50 countries providing military aid to Ukraine is critical to countering terrorism and aggression not only in Ukraine but around the world,” praising “the historic decision to supply Ukraine with F-16 jets. We will always be grateful for all this support."

Finally, the Ukrainian leader reiterated that «to defend freedom and security not only in Ukraine and Europe, but also in the United States, we must continue to respond to the ongoing Russian aggression in the most energetic and resolute way possible».
