European leaders meeting in Paris are aiming for a seat at the table announced by Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on Ukraine .
From what we understand, at the summit organized at the Elysée, which was also attended by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni (who arrived last), there was also a discussion on the idea of sending soldiers, but the positions diverge: England is in favor above all, while Germany and Poland are holding back, defining the issue as "inappropriate".
Meanwhile, while Trump has declared that his meeting with Putin could take place "soon" , tomorrow in Riyadh the first US-Russia negotiations since the beginning of the war will begin, with Moscow, however, through Foreign Minister Lavrov, having once again closed the door to a possible EU presence around the table.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky , however, urged the European Union to appoint its own representative for the negotiations , also stating that Kiev "will not recognize" any agreement between Russia and the United States reached without him.
