Alarm off the Tunisian coast where, according to an Alarm Phone report on Twitter, "twenty-nine migrants are in danger in the area between Zarzis and Djerba" due to a fire that broke out on the boat they are in. There would also be three children on board.

"We hope that the Tunisian MRCC will find them soon", writes the NGO, relaunching the request for help for the group of 25 migrants , including 4 minors, on a boat adrift in the Maltese body of water.

"At last we were able to talk to the 25 people", writes the Alarm Phone, "they are still at sea, facing the wind and the waves. We alerted the authorities 6 hours ago, but there seems to be no rescue in sight. We are not surprised. We condemn. the lethal policies of non-assistance at the borders of Europe ".

The Tunisian Coast Guard just this morning announced that it had foiled four departures to Italy in the night between 5 and 6 June 2022. Among those rescued, four were wanted by justice.

During the operations, sums in foreign and local currencies were seized. Yesterday a customs unit also rescued 15 migrants off Mahdia , including three women and a baby, who were on board a boat in distress. Local sources have made it known.
