"Iran is mismanaging, some would say dishonorably, the transit of oil through the Strait of Hormuz. This is not the deal we have," Donald Trump said on his social media platform, Truth. "There are reports that Iran is imposing tolls on oil tankers transiting the Strait of Hormuz. They better not do it, and if they are doing it, they better stop now!" he added.
At present, Iran will allow the passage of no more than 15 ships per day.
Meanwhile, the US is asking Israel for a de-escalation in Lebanon, and Prime Minister Netanyahu is open to negotiations with Beirut but promises: "No truce with Hezbollah."
The Israeli raids were condemned by European governments, but also by Moscow, Ankara, and Pakistan, which is preparing to host talks between the Tehran delegation and the Washington delegation led by Vance.

US Embassy Staff in Baghdad Attacked by Terrorist Group's Drones
US Embassy staff in Baghdad "were targeted by multiple drone attacks by an Iraqi terrorist militia near Baghdad International Airport" on Wednesday. A US State Department official told CNN today, adding that "all are safe." Since the start of the US-Israeli war against Iran, dozens of attacks have occurred against US personnel and facilities in Iraq, perpetrated by groups allied with Tehran. Wednesday's incident, however, is the first since the ceasefire agreed between the United States and Iran.
Trump warns Iran: "Further attacks will follow unless a deal is reached."
On the eve of the Pakistan negotiations, Donald Trump warned Iran of even more intense attacks if no agreement is reached. "We're loading the ships with the best munitions and weapons ever made, even better than what we used before, which we used to tear them apart, and we're going to use them extremely effectively," the president said in an interview with the New York Post.
Only one oil tanker passed through the Strait of Hormuz today
An analysis of shipping data conducted by CNN shows that today, as of 5:30 PM Tehran time (2 PM GMT), only one oil tanker, subject to US sanctions, passed through the Strait of Hormuz. According to AIS data from the MarineTraffic ship tracking system, the Mab 5, a Botswana-flagged oil tanker, passed through the canal. However, ships can interrupt the transmission of AIS data, which indicates their position, meaning more vessels could pass through the strait undetected by maritime tracking systems. An Indian-flagged vessel also passed through the canal today, likely a small cargo vessel leaving the strait to enter the Gulf of Oman. Two other vessels, a Panamanian-flagged bulk carrier and an Indian-flagged merchant ship, passed through the canal on their way to the Persian Gulf.
CNN: Tense phone call between Trump and Netanyahu on Lebanon
A "tense" phone call, the third between Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu this week, focused on Lebanon. According to CNN, the two leaders spoke yesterday, and Netanyahu understood that if he didn't request direct talks with Lebanon, Trump could simply declare a ceasefire. On Tuesday, Trump had spoken with Netanyahu before announcing the truce, and the Israeli prime minister had pressed for Lebanon to be excluded.
Ghalibaf: "Stop attacks on Lebanon and release Iranian assets before negotiations begin."
"Two of the measures mutually agreed upon by the parties have yet to be implemented: a ceasefire in Lebanon and the release of Iranian assets frozen before the start of negotiations. These two issues must be fulfilled before negotiations begin," wrote Iranian Parliament Speaker MB Ghalibaf on social media. Ghalibaf, who will lead the Iranian delegation to the talks with the US, along with Minister Araghchi, will be speaking on social media.

Vance: "Tehran shouldn't fool us during negotiations, or we won't be available."
US Vice President J.D. Vance says they won't be "receptive" if the Iranians "try to play us for a ride." Speaking as he was leaving for Islamabad, the Pakistani capital, for talks with Iran, Vance reiterated that "If the Iranians are willing to negotiate in good faith, we're certainly willing to reach out; that's one thing." "If they try to play us for a ride, they'll find the negotiating team isn't so receptive."
Hezbollah to the Lebanese government: "Enough with gratuitous concessions to Israel."
Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem today called on the Lebanese government to stop offering "free concessions" to Israel, ahead of the start of negotiations between the two governments in Washington next week. "We will not accept a return to the previous situation and we call on officials to stop offering free concessions," Qassem said in a written message broadcast on the party's television station, Al-Manar. He also denounced the "bloody crime of Wednesday," when Israeli strikes killed more than 300 people in Lebanon.
Tehran: "Our agreed 10-point plan serves as the basis for negotiations."
Iran's proposed 10-point plan has been agreed upon as the basis for negotiations, Deputy Foreign Minister Majdi Takht Ravanchi said on the eve of tomorrow's US-Iran talks in Islamabad. Iran International reports this. "We have always welcomed diplomacy, but not talks based on false information aimed at deception," he said, adding that Tehran does not support a ceasefire that allows its adversary to rearm and resume attacks.
IDF Chief: "We are in a state of war in Lebanon, not a ceasefire."
Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir stated that Israeli forces continue their combat operations in southern Lebanon and that they are "not in a ceasefire" with Hezbollah but "in a state of war." During a visit to Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, Israeli media reported, Zamir stated: "The IDF is in a state of war, we are not in a ceasefire, we continue to fight here in this area, which is our main fighting area. In Iran, however, we are in a ceasefire and can return to fighting there at any time."

Air raid alert across Israel at dawn
Air raid alerts were put in place across Israel in the early hours of Friday, including Tel Aviv's commercial district and the southern coastal city of Ashdod, following rocket fire from Lebanon, AFP reports. The ongoing clashes between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah are straining the fragile truce reached between the United States and Iran. Hezbollah posted several statements on Telegram claiming to have launched three waves of rocket and drone attacks in the early hours of the morning against Israeli soldiers on both sides of the border, as well as against a town in northern Israel.
