Meta, the giant that owns and operates Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, among others, has agreed to pay $16.7 billion in a settlement with U.S. states, which accused it of addicting children to social media.

As part of the plea deal, he agreed to impose predefined daily limits and nightly blocks for teenage users of his social media apps, to strengthen the

age verification systems to prevent minors from accessing inappropriate content and to provide additional tools for parents. The agreement, however, does not contain any admission of guilt from Mark Zuckerberg's giant.
