The first step along the path to the beatification of Sister Teresa Tambelli has been taken: the Vatican Historical Commission approved the "Positio super virtutibus" for the nun, Daughter of Charity for 40 years (1924-1964) superior of the Navy Asylum of Cagliari.

The five experts in charge examined a substantial file containing documents with the biographical profile of the nun, the history of the cause, the relevance and importance of the example of the Vincentian in her time and for today's society.

The folder includes the "Summarium testium", that is the deposition made by witnesses (over 60) before the diocesan court.

Everything was prepared and presented by Szczepan T. Praskievic, order of Discalced Carmelites.

"It is an important result - comments Father Giuseppe Guerra, postulator of the cause - even if we are only at the first stage of a journey that, we hope, will end positively".

The next step will be the screening of the nine members of the Theological Commission of the "Cause of the Saints", who will again examine the life, work and religiosity of the nun.

Then the plenary council of bishops and cardinals will speak, which, if so, will ask the Pope for the decree of venerability of the "servant of God".

But the beatification will take place only if, through the intercession of the Vincentian nun, somewhere in the world a miracle has occurred, an extraordinary, rationally inexplicable fact.
