Possible turning point in the trade war triggered by Trump's tariffs.

According to the Financial Times, the United States and the European Union are close to an agreement that would establish a single 15% tariff, lowering the highest duties currently in place for some sectors, including the automotive industry, which currently stands at 25%.

The parties also intend to waive reciprocal tariffs on a number of strategic products, including aircraft, according to what the Commission informed the 27.

The agreement mirrors the one announced by Trump with Japan , which will invest 550 billion dollars in the United States and pay 15% tariffs.

Sources say, however, that the final approval of the agreement must be given by the US president.
