Malam Bako, the new leader of the jihadist group Islamic State of the West African province (Iswap), was killed in Nigeria.

The Nigerian national security adviser told the BBC.

A killing just a few days after the one reported last October 14 by his predecessor, Abu Musab al-Barnawi.

The new jihadist leader, who had just taken office, was "eliminated" by the Nigerian security forces.

For twelve years, Nigeria has had to face the continuous attacks of the Islamist group of Boko Haram, which sow blood, terror and death indiscriminately among civilians.
