After three days on the run, Francisco Oropeza was captured, the 38-year-old Mexican accused of killing five neighbors from Honduras, including an eight-year-old boy, with an Ar-15 on Friday evening in Texas , after some of them had asked him to do not shoot in the backyard to put a newborn to sleep.

CNN reports.

Oropeza was arrested in the Texas town of Cut and Shoot, less than 30 miles from the crime scene , San Jacinto County District Attorney Todd Dillon told NBC. Over 250 local and federal agents had been searching for the suspect for several days.

Authorities had offered an $80,000 bounty for any information leading to the location of the "monster," as FBI agent James Smith called it.

According to the Gun Violence Archive, the shooting was the 19th with at least four deaths (not including the killer) in the US since the beginning of the year.
