The alarm in Texas is not over yet due to the worst fire in the state's history. The situation could worsen further in the coming days, according to what the American media write.

At the moment the toll is two victims and thousands of livestock killed. The fire devoured lands and houses.

By Friday, the fire was only 15% out of control and Governor Greg Abbott urged citizens to remain vigilant and not to "let their guard down".

The most affected region is the Texas Panhandle, in the north, not densely populated but rich in ranching. According to initial assessments, between 400 and 500 structures have been destroyed and among those that have been killed or will have to be killed, an estimated 10,000 animals have been lost. Texas is the largest livestock producer in the United States, and more than 85 percent of the state's herds are located in the Panhandle.
