An attack in northern Iraq, attributed to ISIS, resulted in the death of ten people including three civilians and seven Kurdish peshmerga fighters.

The village of Khidir Jiha, south of Erbil, is under attack by the men of the Islamic State. The three civilians were killed during the raid. The peshmerga, the armed forces of Iraqi Kurdistan, then launched their own operation and, according to the statement issued, "seven fighters died in the explosion of an explosive device that had been placed by members of the Islamic State".
