One hundred people were killed and almost 200 injured following an air attack that targeted a military barracks in central Syria while the closing ceremony of government army officer training was underway.

The National Observatory for Human Rights in Syria confirmed the circumstance, according to which the attack in the courtyard of the Military Academy of Homs, north of Damascus, was conducted with at least one drone whose origin is not yet known .

The Observatory states that among the dead there are 9 civilians including a little girl. The Syrian government confirms the attack but does not provide a detailed death toll.
