Super Typhoon Fung-wong makes landfall in the Philippines

Typhoon Fung-wong has made landfall on the eastern coast of the Philippines, the national meteorological service announced.

The typhoon struck Aurora province on the archipelago's main island, Luzon, at 9:10 PM local time (2:10 PM Italian time). So far, the typhoon has killed two people and forced over a million residents to abandon their homes.

Just a few days ago another typhoon hit the country causing hundreds of deaths and extensive damage.
