Beaten, stabbed, buried alive by her husband. To save her from certain death was her Apple Watch, with which she managed to call the police, who rescued her and then tracked down and arrested her husband.

The shocking and incredible story, which brings to mind scary movie scenes (think of Uma Thurman in Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill") happened in Washington State and was reported by the Daily Beast.

According to the reconstruction of the investigators, the woman, Young Sook An, 42, had quarreled over money and divorce with her 53-year-old husband Chae Kyong An .

The latter attacked her while she was changing in the bedroom, punching her and throwing her to the ground. He then tied her arms and legs with duct tape and stabbed her in the chest, briefly exiting the room. At that point, the woman used her Apple Watch to call the emergency number.

The operator realized that the woman was unable to speak and heard bangs and noises of arguments in the background, before total silence arrived.

The police located the telephone repeater from which the call came and visited the woman's home, but did not find it. However, the officers noticed suspicious elements and eventually cornered her husband and arrested him.

Meanwhile, the woman had found the strength to come out of the pit in the forest where her spouse had buried her, after shattering her Apple Watch, and had asked for help by knocking on the door of a local resident.

Then, after the treatment, she confirmed the story to the police, telling of the murderous fury to which her husband, ended up in handcuffs, had subjected her.
