From South Korea, the offer to Pyongyang: a supply of coronavirus vaccines and other medical devices. This was announced by South Korean President Yook Suk-yeol after North Korea confirmed that it was struggling with the first outbreak in the country in over two years of pandemic.

"President Yoon Suk-yeol - said the spokesman Kang In-sun in a statement - plans to provide vaccines and other medical supplies", guaranteeing that "discussions will be held in this regard with the North Korean side on the details".

While Pyongyang said today that six people have died after a fever spread "explosively" in the country, affecting 350,000 citizens since the end of April. A few days ago the national lockdown started.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un criticized the fact that "the simultaneous spread of the fever with the capital area as the epicenter has shown that there is a vulnerability in the epidemic prevention system that we have already established" .
