Fourth night of waiting for the 563 Italian cruise passengers—seven of them Sardinians— aboard the MSC Euribia, stranded in the port of Dubai awaiting repatriation to Italy . It's been a very trying time, say the ship's guests: "It's even difficult to sleep, because last night we heard the sound of missiles and explosions," says Giovanni Melis, one of the Sardinian tourists who departed from Cagliari. "The concern," he continues, "is growing. Some have availed themselves of the psychological support provided by the company: we're waiting for signals for repatriation, but so far we have no news."
HERE ALL THE UPDATES ON THE WAR
A delegation spoke with the ship's captain to gather information about the ship's possible return home. They are now awaiting information regarding seat availability on flights departing primarily from Abu Dhabi, an hour and a half from Dubai.
Concern and anticipation are also being expressed among the passengers' families . Many have contacted the crisis unit number made available to tourists and relatives: they are encouraged to download the Viaggiare sicuri app. But there is still no return date for the 563 cruise passengers aboard the MSC Euribia.
