Russia continues its offensive in Ukraine and also strikes the capital Kiev again.

The city was hit by several missiles, which also hit an energy plant.

After the raids, Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on Telegram, 40% of the inhabitants of the capital - where the temperature is just above zero - were left without heating.

“After the missile attack, due to the emergency power outage, 40% of consumers in the capital are currently without heating. The water supply, on the other hand, works normally », explained the mayor.

Bombings also hit targets in the Kharkiv and Odessa regions.

Meanwhile, a new alarm is coming from the USA about the "dangerous relations" between Russia and China.

According to US Undersecretary of Defense John Plumb, the Russian company Rosatom is

supplying highly enriched uranium to Beijing.

"We are very concerned about cooperation between Moscow and Beijing in this area," added the Pentagon official, stressing that "China is engaged in a rapid expansion and diversification of its nuclear capabilities."

The uranium was officially sent to fuel breeder nuclear reactors that use plutonium and, Plumb points out, "plutonium is used to make nuclear weapons."
