Russia: Vulgar insults against Giorgia Meloni on TV
Kremlin-affiliated presenter Vladimir Solovyov launched a harsh attack on the prime minister. The Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassador.

Russian journalist and TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov, who is close to the Kremlin, hurled harsh insults at Giorgia Meloni. During an episode of the program "Polnyj Kontakt" (Full Contact), he used vulgar Italian language, calling the prime minister a "fascist, a certified idiot, a bad woman," and hurling vulgar insults at her. He also added: "A disgrace to the human race. Betrayal is her middle name: she betrayed Trump, to whom she had previously sworn allegiance," Solovyov added during his program.
According to reports, the Farnesina will summon the Russian ambassador to Rome to request explanations on the matter.
