Vladimir Putin has announced that he will run again for the presidency in the elections to be held on 17 March 2024. Tass writes it: the president, who had not yet announced his re-nomination until today, said this during a ceremony held at Kremlin, answering a question during an informal conversation with participants at the ceremony of awarding the Gold Star medal to the Heroes of Russia.

«I don't deny that there were different thoughts at different times. But now you are right, it's time to make a decision. I will run for president of Russia, there are no alternatives," Putin said.

Yesterday the Federation Council announced presidential elections for March 17, 2024. Today the head of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova said that voting will last three days, from March 15 to 17, explaining that this format is already becoming traditional for the Russian electoral system. Pamfilova recalled that for the first time during the pandemic, three-day voting was used to ensure the safety of citizens.
