Putin: «We will never retreat, no one can divide Russia»

"We will never retreat": Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in his end-of-year speech to the nation.

“We have demonstrated several times that we can solve the most difficult tasks and that we will never retreat, however, because no force can divide us,” said the leader of Moscow, without directly mentioning the conflict in Ukraine. Putin, however, paid tribute to the soldiers, calling them "our heroes". In 2023, he added, "we have firmly defended our national interests, our freedom and our security, our values."

The president also assured that Russia, which is experiencing "a historic phase" and will be "even stronger" over the next few months.
