But the choice of the Spanish nationalists to turn to the Supreme Court is also motivated by the belief in the legitimacy of the provision by which the Italian judges have deferred every decision with respect to the extradition of the independence politician who has lived in Waterloo for four years, referring it to the positions that will assume the authority European Union regarding the question of the immunity that Puigdemont is entitled to as MEP.

The Italian lawyer of Puigdemont, the Sassari lawyer Agostinangelo Marras, will file a statement in the Supreme Court to oppose the claims made by Vox.

In recent days, the leader of Fdi Giorgia Meloni took part in a meeting held by Vox in Spain, and defined the decision of the Court of Appeal of Sassari in front of voters and militants of the Spanish nationalist party "shameful".
