Pope Francis met Msgr. Georg Gaenswein , Prefect of the Papal Household.

This was announced by the Bulletin of the Vatican press office . The face-to-face came after the controversy that arose from the previews of the book "Nothing but the truth", written by the former private secretary of Benedict XVI with the journalist Saverio Gaeta.

Among the pages of the work, the story of the moment in which Bergoglio had dismissed Father Georg in 2020 as head of the Prefecture of the Papal Household: "You remain prefect but from tomorrow you will not return to work", the Pope's words.

A decision, that of Francis, on which Father Georg said he was "shocked and speechless" and which Ratzinger, we read in the book, would have commented with these words: "I think Pope Francis no longer trusts me and wishes that you be my keeper." Ratzinger himself would thus have written to the Argentine Pope to intercede in this situation, without results.
