For the Sardinian mission in Romania, which aims to bring 30 Ukrainian refugees (26 children and 4 mothers) to the island, some difficulties are looming.
"The Ukrainian government - explains Ugo Cappellacci, Sardinian deputy and coordinator of Forza Italia who is president of the Ukrainian section of the Inter-Parliamentary Union - has issued a decree law that complicates a little the path for the children who should reach Italy".
Cappellacci is together with the Ukrainian consul in Sardinia, Anthony Grande, who adds: "I heard our contact person from the Foreign Ministry who is accompanying these children to the meeting point at the border with Poland and explained to me that tonight the government has issued an urgent law decree that requires a check on the possibility of finding a welcome for the little ones in a safe place in Ukraine before entrusting them abroad. Until yesterday we knew that there were some quiet territories but at this moment the news has come who are bombing in the province of Lviv. However, given that the implementing rules have not yet been enacted, it seems that perhaps this group of children will still be able to deliver it ".
Meanwhile, there is a new group of 40-50 people leaving for the border who, like the 30 already on the list, would like to get to Italy.
