Donald Trump is ahead of Joe Biden in five of six swing states among registered voters .

This emerges from one of the New York Times/Siena Poll polls, which shows an erosion of support for the US president among young people and non-white voters, dissatisfied with the trend of the economic situation and the war in Gaza.

In the duel among registered voters, Biden is ahead only in Wisconsin (47% to 45%), while Trump leads in Pennsylvania (47% to 44%), Arizona (49% to 42%), Michigan (49% to 42%) , Georgia (49% to 39%) and Nevada (50% to 38%) .

By taking into consideration all likely voters , and not just registered ones, the games become more open. Trump remains ahead in five states, but Biden is very close in two of these five, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania .

And the results change little even in a hypothetical comparison that includes the candidates of minor parties and the independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who obtained an average of 10% in the six states, subtracting votes more or less equally from Biden and Trump.

Biden won in all six states in 2020. To be re-elected it would be enough for him to win in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania .
