Designers and creatives remain cautious about artificial intelligence, but why worry? The topic will be discussed on Thursday the 5th at 5:30 pm at the Sala Contemporanea of Sa Manifattura , at Viale Regina Margherita 33 in Cagliari : the special guest is expert and professor from the University of London , Neil Maiden , in a conference on the future implications for design and technological innovation, entitled " Co-Creative AI - What's Next in Innovation and Design ".
Organized by Opificio Innova , the meeting will feature a keynote address by Maiden himself, whose experience and knowledge in the field stem not only from his chair in Digital Creativity – now Emeritus Professor at Bayes Business School, an offshoot of the London university – but also from his past directorship of the National Centre for AI-Enabled Creativity ( CebAI ), leading interdisciplinary research in software engineering, creativity science, and other fields, with a £64 million project named after him.
The British professor will then share his visions on the evolution of design and graphics in the digital age, and his words will then be followed by those of Antonella Arca (IED), the multidisciplinary artist Luca Spano , Graziano Di Paola (Opificio Innova) and Sebastiano Baghino (Sardegna Ricerche), concluding with a social aperitif at 7 pm .
