The war against Hamas "will continue on all fronts until all objectives are achieved." This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a press conference in Tel Aviv.

"Victory - he added - will take a few more months, but we are determined to achieve it."

"The government under my leadership - Netanyahu said - will not be satisfied with anything less than total victory."

Meanwhile, the European Parliament, for the first time since the beginning of the conflict in the Middle East, underlined, with a text approved in the Chamber, "the need for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza".

In a non-binding resolution, adopted with 312 votes in favour, 131 against and 72 abstentions, the EU MEPs express «their deepest condolences for the innocent victims on both sides of the conflict» and, at the same time, relaunch the need «to restart efforts towards a political solution after all hostages have been released immediately and unconditionally and Hamas has been eliminated."
