Muslims around the world are ready for Ramadan, the Islamic holy month which will begin, depending on the country in which the faithful are located, between tomorrow and Tuesday.

The date is when the crescent Moon scheduled for Monday is spotted in various states such as Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and Tuesday in others such as India, Indonesia and Egypt.

Ramadan lasts 29 to 30 days and is celebrated as the holiest month in Islam.

As per tradition, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, recite prayers, practice charity, do not smoke, do not listen to music, abstain from sexual activity and women do not wear makeup.
