«What happened in Israel is an act of terror. But it cannot justify the innocent lives lost in the bombing of Gaza's civilian population who have nowhere to go, no access to food and water, no ability to evacuate and no even the basic right to cross the border and seek refuge." These are the words with which the Hollywood superstar, who is also a UN special envoy, launches his appeal for a ceasefire in the Middle East.
«To deny aid, fuel and water is to collectively punish the population. Humanity calls for an immediate ceasefire. Palestinian and Israeli lives - and everyone's lives - are worth the same", adds the actress, giving her support to the work of Doctors Without Borders, on the front line to bring help to the Palestinian population.
