Male students will be prohibited from wearing long hair at school. It happens in Texas where the Magnolia Independent School District (which follows about 13 thousand young people) has already received numerous complaints.

The revolution began when a 9-year-old boy refused to cut his hair. The boy is one of seven - aged between 7 and 17 - who have sued the school district talking about "discriminatory politics".

According to the regulation, males must not have hair "longer than the lower part of the shirt collar, ear and eyes".

The American Civil Liberties Union of Texas filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of the students against the Magnolia Independent School District because the punishment, the documents read, caused them "immense and irreparable harm."

While Denis Meyers, a district spokesman, explained that officials are considering the parents' complaints, but defended the decision by pointing out that similar measures are in place in about half of Texas public school districts.
