Scenes from the Wild West last night in London , where a 9-year-old girl was shot to death while having dinner with her family in a restaurant , the innocent victim of an apparent criminal showdown in in which three men were also seriously injured .

The incident was made public today by Scotland Yard, with a currently summary reconstruction of the first elements of the investigation.

In the ambush, said James Conway, chief superintendent of the Metropolitan Police, three males, aged 26, 37 and 42 years old, were hit - in addition to the little girl - all currently hospitalized. It is believed that they were the targets of the murderous commando .
