The armored train carrying North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has entered Russian territory. This was confirmed by the state news agency Ria Novosti. A meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled.

The dark green convoy passed through the Primorsky region from North Korea.

Kim will see Putin "later this week" according to Moscow media. According to experts, the Kremlin will ask Pyongyang for artillery shells and anti-tank missiles in exchange for advanced satellite technology and nuclear-powered submarines.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov explained to Russian media that the two leaders will discuss "sensitive issues" ignoring the "warnings" of the US, according to which North Korea "would pay a price" if it supplied Moscow with weapons for the conflict in Ukraine.

“In building our relations with our neighbors, including North Korea, the most important thing for us is the interests of our two countries, not warnings from Washington,” Peskov added.
