Iran's supreme leader, Ali Khamenei , met with the head of Hamas's political bureau , Ismail Haniyeh, together with a delegation in Tehran . «The permanent policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to support the Palestinian resistance forces against the occupying Zionists . The crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza are directly supported by the US and some Western governments,” Khamenei said on X about the meeting .

During the meeting, Khamenei underlined the need for Islamic countries and international institutions to take urgent measures to stop Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip , launching an appeal to Muslim states to give practical support to the population of Gaza.

According to IRNA reports, Haniyeh informed Khamenei about the latest developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Prime Minister , Benjamin Netanyahu, has rejected the proposal for "humanitarian pauses" in Gaza , invoked by many parties, primarily by American President Joe Biden .

“There will be no ceasefire without the return of our hostages, we say this to both our enemies and our friends,” Netanyahu's words. We "will continue until we beat them", the conclusion.
