An Italian freelance journalist was injured in Ukraine. His name is Mattia Sorbi , he also collaborated with Tg1: he was injured in the south of the country, near Kherson, and what is learned from local sources is treated in a hospital in the area controlled by the Russians.
Moscow's defense ministry says Sorbi was " wounded by a Ukrainian mine " and that the Russian military is providing him with help and assistance.
At the Farnesina they let it be known that they are “in constant contact” with the journalist: “He is well looked after, we have positive news on his state of health , he has little coverage to communicate but has free contact. We are working to get him back to Italy as soon as possible, safely ”.
Sorbi also wrote a post on Facebook to reassure his health conditions: “Dear friends, thank you very much for your solidarity and for all the affection you are showing these days, worried about my lack of contact. I am fine and safe , but unfortunately the communication difficulties in Ukraine prevented me from being online as usual. It will probably be like this for a few more days, but the important thing is not to have any problems. I am collecting many stories to tell you and I will not fail to let you know ”.
