Mustafa Dalul, commander of the Hamas “Sabra Tel al-Hawa” Battalion, which has played a central role in organizing combat with troops in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war, was killed by the Israeli army.

The military spokesperson made this known, according to which "in recent years Dalul has held a series of positions in the Hamas battalions and in the Gaza City brigade".

Meanwhile, today the Lebanese head of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, will break the silence that has lasted for weeks with a speech that could have an impact on the region as the Gaza conflict rages.

Cross-border attacks intensified yesterday, with Israel responding with a "wide assault" to Hezbollah attacks on 19 Israeli positions.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned that "the region is like a powder keg" and that "anything is possible" if Israel does not stop attacking Gaza. On the Lebanese side, more than 70 people were killed - at least 50 of them Hezbollah fighters but also other fighters and civilians, including a Reuters journalist, according to an AFP tally. On the Israeli side, nine people died: eight soldiers and one civilian, according to the army.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Israel today.
