In fact, the never dormant clash between Israel and Hamas is rekindled, with the army of the Jewish state carrying out a series of air raids in a few hours to hit strategic positions of the Palestinian political and paramilitary organization in Lebanon and Gaza.
Tel Aviv's military spokesman reported that more than ten sites were hit in Lebanese territory, plus two tunnels in the Gaza area.
The same spokesman said that Hamas fired 44 rockets at Israel from Gaza . One, he added, hit a house in Sderot but without casualties: 14 fell in an open area, 8 were intercepted, 12 fell into the sea and 9 inside the Strip.
The army has instructed residents around the Strip to remain in shelters until further notice.
