"We will not let Gaza starve, aid must arrive soon."
Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said this before the meeting of the political and security cabinet, warning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the ministers of the delay in the arrival of humanitarian aid in the Strip, as reported by the news program on the public television Kan.
So far, the ministers have been steadfast in their refusal to allow any aid to pass to the Strip.
The political and security cabinet then decided that Israel will respond to the Houthi attack on Ben Gurion Airport.
In the brief telephone discussion that took place after the ballistic missile attack, which included Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and senior defense officials, it was decided to respond and not to back down. Any military response will be in coordination with the United States.
