The political and security cabinet then decided that Israel will respond to the Houthi attack on Ben Gurion Airport.

In the brief telephone discussion that took place after the ballistic missile attack, which included Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and senior defense officials, it was decided to respond and not to back down. Any military response will be in coordination with the United States.
