A Taliban police vehicle was hit by a grenade this morning in west Kabul. Several people, according to what Taliban officials confirmed, were injured.

Interior Ministry spokesman Qari Sayed Khosti explained: "A grenade was thrown at our moudjahidin's car, injuring two of them." And a local Taliban official spoke of a "bomb" thrown at a police vehicle, providing an additional toll for four students taken to hospital.

Since they came to power on August 15, the Taliban, who have made the return to security in the country their priority after 20 years of war, have been the target of a series of attacks.
