French President Emmanuel Macron said this in a joint statement with Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who flew to Paris to support Rome's candidacy for Expo 2030.
«It is this friendship - added Macron addressing Meloni - that interests me first of all, Madam Prime Minister, the one that sometimes allows disputes, disagreements to be brought to life, but always in a respectful framework because it is part of a more great and profound of us ".
With France, however, said the Italian prime minister, "we share a common sensitivity on many subjects, I am thinking of the theme of the Mediterranean, in particular with reference to Tunisia and Libya , with respect to which we work with converging objectives".
