The Hamas-run Palestinian Civil Defense Agency in Gaza said an Israeli air strike overnight on a house and a tent housing displaced people in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza Strip, killed eight people, including five children.
It happened as Palestinians observed the first day of Eid al-Fitr, the Islamic holiday marking the end of Ramadan .
" There are eight martyrs, including five children , from an Israeli air strike before dawn on a house and a tent hosting displaced people in Khan Yunis," Mahmud Bassal, spokesman for the Palestinian agency, told AFP.
