Dozens of Hamas fighters have surrendered to the Israeli army in the northern Gaza Strip. The newspaper Haaretz reports it.

Meanwhile, as clashes continue between the Tel Aviv armed forces and the Palestinian militiamen in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army and the Shin Bet have announced that two senior Hamas leaders were killed a few days ago in an air raid on a Command Center.

They are Abdel Aziz Rantisi and Ahmed Aiush.

The command center hit - explained the spokesperson - "was responsible for field intelligence for the entire Strip and served as a significant post for Hamas to direct combat and support activities for attacks on soldiers".
