Italy in the field to provide assistance to the Palestinian civilian population, in the midst of the clash between the Israeli army and Hamas militias.

«Another C-130 of the Italian Air Force with the second tranche of humanitarian aid for Gaza has landed at Al Arish airport, in Egypt, and is proceeding to unload the material», announced Defense Minister Guido Crosetto.

The flight was organized in cooperation between the Foreign Ministry, the UN and the Red Crescent and the aid will be transported to Gaza via the Rafah crossing.

Crosetto himself, in a post published on X, added: "In the meantime we are organizing the possibility of bringing a field hospital to Gaza."

«It was important – the minister had explained in the last few hours – that at a time when a tragedy for humanity is occurring we gave a signal. A signal to those who are suffering the greatest impact at the moment: the Palestinians who live in Gaza, children, men and women who have nothing to do with Hamas but who have to move, have no food or medicine or a place to stay and therefore I think that the rest of the world must move. We were the first with Great Britain and France to move to help and I hope there will be a competition all over the world."
