Hurricane Nicole devastates Florida . There would be five victims caused by its passage. According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, two people were electrocuted by a fallen power pole in Orlando. Two others died in a car accident, while a man was killed on his yacht in the city of Cocoa.

Nicole made landfall around 3 a.m. Thursday as a Category 1 hurricane .

Nearly 110,000 homes and businesses were without electricity due to the hurricane .

Nicole has now been downgraded to a tropical storm, but the National Hurricane Center has said dangerous storm surges and rising ocean waters will continue, along with heavy rains and gusty winds.

While evacuations have been ordered for Nicole in the American state, hit only a few weeks ago by Hurricane Ian, NASA - which has its own base in Florida - has decided not to further postpone its next planned mission .

The attempted launch of Artemis 1 has been confirmed for November 16th . The statement came after inspections on the rocket and spacecraft which, after the passage of the hurricane, did not report any major damage.

"Nothing prevents a take-off on that date," assured Jim Free , associate administrator of the American space agency, in a press conference. The launch of the most powerful S rocket ever made by NASA is scheduled for Wednesday at 1.04 local time with a two-hour launch window. The mission aims to bring the Orion spacecraft to the Moon, without astronauts on board, without landing on it.
