Massacre in Bangladesh following the explosion in a private container depot near Chittagong, the largest port in the country. Over 30 deaths according to a still not definitive toll: 11 people are still missing. Among the victims are firefighters and police officers.

Initial information speaks of the possibility of sabotage.

The injured are different, many have severed hands or legs as well as severe burns.

Chittagong Fire Chief Anisur Rahman said the fire broke out around 9:20 pm local time yesterday and spread quickly. "Some of the containers started to explode. We involved 16 rescue teams but they couldn't get the fire under control."

There were thousands of shipping containers in the warehouse and some contained highly flammable chemicals , including hydrogen peroxide.
