Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison. A New York jury found her guilty of luring and manipulating minors so that financier Jeffrey Epstein - her ex-boyfriend who took his own life in prison - could sexually abuse them.
For the 60-year-old British the prosecution had asked for a sentence between 30 and 55 years, the defense a "very under" 20 years, invoking the childhood of the woman traumatized by her father, a former publishing magnate and former deputy.
