All eyes are on the elections in Turkey, where 64 million citizens have been called to vote to elect the new parliament and the new president of the Republic.

Challenging for the leadership are the incumbent president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in power for 20 years, and Kemal Kilicdaroglu, head of a coalition of secular and left-wing opposition.

No incidents were recorded during the voting operations.

The polls are closed, the counting is in progress.
